The initiative 'A Laboratory on the Open Fields' (ALOTOF) was working outside the general and accepted lines of conventional creativity, trying to investigate new forms and methods for an ecological media art. This publication draws inspiration from the free exchange of knowledge, the participation of all writers, artists, designers and media technologists in experimental settings, the use of networks, collaborative writing environments. It focuses on the work of hacklabs, fablabs, eco/bio hacklabs, bricolabs and the artistic research process as an inquiry and proposes the idea of replaces creative industries and political pressures with experimental industries. IGNORANCE wants to bring a public involvement in culture, creating a new audience and working with them.
