For a long time the human brain was considered to be the sole yardstick of intelligence, but this idea is becoming increasingly shaky. Artificial intelligence can acquire abilities that were previously ascribed to human beings alone. At the same time, other non-human forms of intelligence such as that of animals and plants are drawing attention .This publication presents projects by international artists, who are devoting themselves to two aspects of non-human intelligence: technological intelligence and the intelligence of our eco-system, the diversity of which is under threat of destruction. Essays by leading scientists ask, what forms of intelligence are relevant to the shaping of the future? How can artificial intelligence serve society and promote ecological community? Publication accompanying the similar titled exhibition at HEK (Haus der Elektronischen Künste, Basel (10 May to 10 August 2025).
