Published on the occasion of the exhibition by Robert Gober at The Geffen Contemporary at MoCA, Los Angeles 07.09-14.12.1997. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with newly commissioned essays, extensive documentation of a new, site-specific sculpture and visuals of previous installations. Gober has created an atmosphere composed of four distinct sculptural elements which evokes collective and individual memories relating to the home, the urban environment, ecology, Catholicism, and procreation and sexuality.
