At the end of the 1990s, the firm CargoLifter was going to build the world's largest heavy-lift airship. The company built a huge, architecturally outstanding hangar just for that purpose. After the enterprise failed, the hall was sold to a consortium of Asian firms that converted the former hangar into the Tropical Islands Dome, Europe's largest indoor tropical paradise.
